GSTPST

PST is coming back! Commencing April 1, 2013, in BC the HST will be replaced by the federal Goods and Services Tax (GST) and the BC Provincial Sales Tax (PST). So, hurry. Before April 1st, you can still save 7% PST on purchases of infrastructure upgrades.

Here are 8 of the most popular projects for our customers’ infrastructure upgrades:

  1. Modernize your server with the most virtual server on the market
Have ECL consolidate and simplify your server infrastructure. Purchase a single ECL modular server to replace several brand name power hungry servers. ECL’s server is most virtual of any on the market. An ECL server uses standardize components with solid state drives. It can be upgraded continually reducing licensing costs. It consumes less than 50% of the power for the equivalent horse power than brand name servers. It is whisper quiet. And, It is serviceable by end-users without trained technicians. It is likely an ECL server would be the last server you will purchase!

  2. Virtualize your cabling to reduce server room and wiring closet clutter
Have ECL design a more manageable and virtual cabling system for your site. Use ECL’s special virtual routers, virtual switches, and virtual cable methodology to reduce physical clutter. With ECL’s methodologies customers can typically reduce physical cabling by 50% to 80% from existing racks and cabling. In fact, some clients saved so much real-estate that a dedicated server room is completely eliminated.

  3. Clean up, consolidate, and virtualizing your filing cabinets and paper works
Purchase scanners and cameras that are easy to interface to modern servers and then have ECL assist with designing schemas to organize your paper works into virtual paper (PDF files) and store them in shared virtual filing cabinets on hard drives or SharePoint with instant retrieval capabilities.

  4. Prepare power backup subsystems for man-made and natural disasters
Have ECL simulate disasters and see if you can deal with them smoothly. Then have ECL design your power backup subsystems and purchase UPS’s, secondary backup batteries, and solar/gas generators to ride out power failures from 1 hour to 1 month in case of disasters.

  5. Upgrade to a virtual phone system for remote workers and remote offices
Have ECL holistically design a virtual phone system with a new paradigm to deal with your business communications. ECL provides an incredibly powerful, virtual, and indestructible phone system at a lower cost than a physical phone system. There is no hardware to maintain. It integrates with your smart phones and your terminal servers. And it takes advantage of any internet connections wired or wireless for redundancy. The virtual PBX is ideal for virtual workers working from homes and remote offices. For those who are tied to a contract with physical phone systems and physical phone lines, our virtual phone system can be an ideal standby backup supplementing your existing phone system in case of emergencies and natural disasters at a fraction of the cost of physically redundant systems.

  6. Purchase the latest thin client workstations with RemoteFX
Upgrade your thin clients workstations. ECL has great deals on our own thin-client workstations which can handle the latest MS RemoteFX technology to make your terminal server sessions run faster with multimedia such movies and presentations.

  7. Upgrade to the latest systems and applications software
Have ECL audit, optimize, reduce your licenses, and minimize your legal exposure. Upgrade to the latest Windows 2012, MS Antivirus 2012, MS Office 2013, SharePoint 2013, Nuance PDF Converter, Adobe Acrobat, and other systems and general office applications.

  8. Update your office automation programming for PST change
Have ECL update your MS Word, Excel, Access and SharePoint business automation programming to account for PST/HST changes so as to synchronize to your CRM and ERP subsystems.

If you need to find out more about the above or have other projects upgrading your infrastructure, please call us and see if we can assist you.
