Miranda is arguably the most powerful free and open-source Instant messaging (IM) XMPP/Client client software for Windows. ECL now announces custom software support of Miranda instant messaging software based on the XMPP/Jabber platform.
IM is now a standard for most of our clients for private interoffice communications. For those who are not familiar with corporate IM, please see our introduction of the XMMP/Jabber platform as the best interoffice communications platform. Many including ourselves are highly dependent on Miranda IM which had largely replaced the less efficient internal email systems. This is because instant messaging provide real-time messaging, user presence info, file transfers, and good audit trails for accountability. These features are unmatched by email systems. IM had also kept the need for internal phone calls to a bare minimum. In fact, during the course of a typical work day, we have found that users spend more time on Miranda communicating with their team mates than any other means of communications!
ECL provides full support for Miranda, particularly in mass deployment, privacy configuration, and custom programming.
For example,
Instant messaging significantly reduced interoffice communication overhead. We feel that Miranda is the best choice today as an interoffice communication tool for small businesses. Unlike other public IM systems such as email, cell texting, Skype, and Google Talk, with ECL’s expertise, Miranda is private, spontaneous, reliable, secure, and legal to automate corporate messaging.
The most important feature, however, is that your messages are kept private without going through a 3rd party server. Thus you can comfortably exchange confidential info such as passwords and accounting data with your teammates.
Finally, the good news for small businesses is that the Miranda software itself is open source and free for use by all. Its deployment usually costs a fraction of the proprietary alternatives by major vendors.
Please call us for demos and references of those who have successfully deployed Miranda instant messaging for interoffice communications.
